Pet Day 2010

This Photo is of Korben Calling Fuzzy Ball, the one below is of him leading.

Very Proud moment for Jamie and I on Saturday, Korben got 2nd for Leading and 2nd for Calling for his Lamb, Fuzzy Ball. Which resulted in Reserve Champion.

Cant wait to scrap the pages.

Another couple of birthday cards

Thanks for the inspiration again Crafty Cow Creations.
The Rugby Card was made for my 6 year old son. It is in the colours of his Ripper Rugby team, I had to make two of these as his cousin turned 6 also, and they play on the same team :).
I made the Ballerina cards for Jamie's cousins twin girls birthday. They LOVED them.
How am I going with my using my stash and nothing else, I had to buy some more cardstock to make a start, but Jackie had unfortunately got some new embellishments in. Next time I will have to be stronger.
Happy Scrapping

Just want to share some photos of my kids and I.

We had an awesome day last Friday (school holidays) in Pukekura Park, feeding the ducks and playing in the playground. We even had a nice lunch in the cafe. (amazing as the kids love McDonalds)

Using up my supplies

I have just stumbled across a blog, where the challenge has been set to complete 25 pages with supplies already on hand. I think I could go near, due to the fact I cant stop shopping for supplies at the moment. The challenge is not to buy any more supplies until you can complete as many as you can, I might need to stock up on some card stock along the way but I am going to try and not buy anything for a month.

Wish me luck

Watch this space I will update with photos, just arranged some more internet time for the next week so I will have to use it. But also want to download some songs for my Ipod and Jamies MP3 player.

Happy Scrapping

Some of the Birthday Cards I have made recently

These are some of the birthday cards that I have have made recently.

The Fireman was for my boys little friend Ronan's 5th Birthday, he adores firemen and was stoked. (He was really cute started making firemen noises)

The Princess card was for our little princess Rebecca's first birthday.

I got my inspiration from Crafty Cows Blog Page. She has some awesome Punch Art Ideas. Thank you very much for the inspiration. I have been busy also making All Blacks, and our local rugby team players (and I better not forget the superheros) for Scrapbooking layouts, will post photos later.

Photos of my princess as promised.

I have used the Hey Birdie collection from Kaiser for one of the layouts, I also used some Stampin Up chipboard that I covered.
The quotes from the Kaiser Rubons (Sugar and Spice) used on both layouts, completely sum up our feelings of Boo.
Rebecca is loved by everyone who meets her she is so friendly and it is so nice to have a little girl who everyone adores.
"It's her beauty that captures your attention. It's her personality that captures your heart."

When I was pregnant with Boo I didn't know that I was having a little girl, I was wishing so hard, as I already had the two boys and they are the bestest friends so I didn't know how a 3rd boy would impact. Anyway "When we asked for a daughter we were sent a princess" completely sums up how Jamie and I feel about Boo.

The other layout is of my niece Violet and Rebecca, there is 13months between the girls they are becoming BFF very quickly but, there is always a but, Violet has a new sister Izzabelle, so I wonder what will happen, Boo and Izzy are only 10mths apart, I wonder if Boo will favor one cousin more, or just treat them both like BFF's. Time will tell.

Thanks for looking at my page.
Megs.

Meeting the All Blacks

I can see a major scrapbooking double layout for both boys from our family outing today. We got to see/meet some of the All Blacks at a Roadshow in New Plymouth.
Was extremely exciting for Mummy seeing Dan/Richie etc. Thought I would share a couple of the photos.

Rainy Day in the Naki

What a horrible rainy day today, but I did get two layouts of my princess done this morning. A nice day to sit in front of the fire catching up on Television programmes Jamie and I have recorded while we have been out at our many meetings this month. And June looks no better.
Well off to the scrapbooking table (The nice little table that has taken up residence in our lounge.) I might even upload some more photos in the next few days.
Happy Scrapping
Megs.
(I need to think of how to make a paper piecing fireman for my sons little friends 5th birthday card, any ideas? I have access to Stampin Up punches.)

Our weekend away

The kids and I (and Nana) had a great weekend in Auckland visiting relations and especially going to Disney On Ice.
I got some timeout to go to a scrapbook store that was open until 9pm on a Saturday night!! (Wasnt that impressed with the selection of papers, etc. Alot of Old Stock, some of which I brought when we visited Canada, 4 years ago). Alot of old Kaiser papers, but not the one I was now after). But still managed to part with some money LOL.

Disney on Ice was wonderful and the boys loved it, Korben couldnt understand why we couldnt watch it again. :). I have enough photos to preserve the memories and the scrapbook pages now to create, once I have printed the photos. Luckly the boys liked different characters. Ethan loved seeing Goofy and Donald, Korben loved Buzz Lightyear.
Rebecca LOVED her Minnie Mouse toy we brought her home. I couldn't believe that they were selling candyfloss for $18.00.

Unproductive Morning

I snuck into the local Library to drop some of the kids books off, before going home to pack our bags for a little getaway to Auckland for Disney on Ice. I accidentally ended up on the computer :).
There are some awesome bloggers on here with some great inspiration for scrapbooking pages, I am heading home now but will I be doing the jobs, or will I hear my scrapbooking stuff calling me.
I might take a couple of photos so I can up load a couple of photos later.

Tuesday, 18 May 2010

I think I could get addicted to this too.

I think this blogging idea will be quite fun, now I need to stay off the internet tonight so I can finish some scrapbooking, to upload tomorrow or tonight.

QUILTS THAT I HAVE MADE

This is the quilt I have made recently for my new little niece Izzabelle, the colours are very bright but I wanted it to be something that she could keep on the end of her bed as an extra blankie when she is older. Next quilt I make will have to be for my other niece Violet (but it might be later rather than sooner as I have the scrapbooking bug again)

This is the quilt that I made for my little princess Rebecca for her first Chirstmas, I have made some really cool wall art to go with it, but good things take time and I haven't got around to hanging them. (photos to follow).

OMG I HAVE DONE IT

Well finally I have created a blog, will be interesting to see how it goes, but I have a few friends that are interested in my projects and without clogging up my Facebook with photos that acquittance's may or may not want to see of my craft I have succumbed to the world of blogging, (there goes any extra Internet time I ever had, the Library and I will become great friends).
